I hope everyone had an excellent Christmas weekend.
This weekend we have Disney’s Strange World. Friday at 8:00PM, Saturday and Sunday at 2:00PM.
Here is what I was thinking when I decided to bring in a kids movie for New Years weekend…
You are busy on Saturday getting ready to host that big New Years gathering. Have someone bring your kids to the theatre and get them out of the way for a couple of hours while you are trying to get ready.
OR
It’s Sunday afternoon and your were up very late last night. Come on down with the kids and have a nap for an hour while they are occupied watching an action packed adventure.
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ original action-packed adventure “Strange World” introduces a legendary family of explorers, the Clades, as they attempt to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land alongside a motley crew that includes a mischievous blob, a three-legged dog and a slew of ravenous creatures.
Rating: PG (Some Thematic Elements | Action/Peril)
Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal, Alan Tudyk, Dennis Quaid and Lucy Liu
Runtime: 1h 42m
Here is a review I read for the movie:
Strange World is a fun and immaculate film using pulp and golden age aesthetics to tell a very modern tale that works on many different levels for many different audiences.
