Friday and Saturday (March 31 & April 1) at 8:00PM and Sunday (April 2) at 2:00PM.
The film continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.
Although critics are once again not liking the latest superhero movie, audiences are giving it positive reviews. It currently has 87% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
From one review I read:
This sequel has the lighthearted, humorous tone of the first film. Zachary Levi‘s comedic timing as Shazam is fantastic. While he doesn’t always fully embody an older Asher Angel, it is better in this movie than in the original film. He gets some of the funniest moments in the movie while also bringing some emotional weight to the character. Jack Dylan Grazer is also hilarious in this movie, getting many moments to shine as a standout character.
Rating: PG-13 (Sequences of Action | Language | Violence)
Runtime: 2h 10m
Not only does this film have the return of Zachary Levi (remember the tv show Chuck?), but it also stars Helen Mirren as the antagonist.
