I just finished previewing Bones of Crows. It was an amazing film and to be honest, the way the story was told was not what I was expecting. Of course many scenes are hard to watch and could be triggering for some viewers.
A friend of mine said the other day that he had no desire to see this movie. As I thought about this comment, I realized that there are probably many people who may feel this way. Why is that? Because this movie is going to make you uncomfortable. You are uncomfortable because you know what happened was wrong and this is why you should see this film.
Bones of Crows is showing Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Sep 29-Oct 1) @ 8:00PM each night.
Note that on Friday night we will be having an introduction with a Prayer and a smudge before the movie. If you are coming on Friday night I would recommend coming early.
Thanks to the Tisdale Reconciliation group and the Beeland Co-op for helping put this together.
I also just found out that Hazel M Ahenakew, who did the Cree voice over for Aline Spears in the movie, is going to be at the theatre on Friday night and would be available for questions following the movie.
