Special Halloween Event at the Falkon Theatre

The Wild Movie Poster

I am very excited to announce a special Halloween event coming to the Falkon Theatre on Monday October 30th @ 8:00PM! For one night only we will be showing the Saskatchewan made independent film called The Wild.

Nominated for Best International Film and Best Cast at Italy’s Cineoff Festival, ‘The Wild’ is a surreal suspense film about small towns, eclectic strangers, mysterious cults and a family curse. At her mother’s rambling behest, Josie enlists best friend and unofficial chauffeur Stanley, to search for clues after her sister, Andrea, mysteriously goes missing from a bar in the next town over. Eccentric roaming artists, less-than-helpful locals, and a shadowy secret society lead to more clues than answers but one thing keeps coming back; The Wild. Maybe there is more to the family curse that has lingered over Josie’s head all these years.

Written and Directed by Regina based Aaron Sinclair, ‘The Wild’ is his first feature film and features music written by local folk rocker Megan Nash as well as Ava Wild, who also appears in the film as Cassie Jones.

Not only is this movie created in and by Saskatchewan people, but Aaron Sinclair, (the writer and director) will be in attendance at the Falkon Theatre on Monday Oct 30th and will do a Q&A following the film. If you have ever had questions about making a movie, this is your time to get the answers. “This is a movie inspired by growing up on a farm in Saskatchewan – quiet moonlight nights, small-town thinking and the distinct feeling of walking into a bar in another town where no one knows who you are.” – Director & Writer, Aaron Sinclair
