Argylle

This weekend (February 23-25) we are showing the movie Argylle. Friday and Saturday at 8:00PM and on Sunday at 2:00PM.

Here’s what I know about this film.

The cast is amazing:

Bryce Dallas Howard

Henry Cavill

Sam Rockwell

John Cena

Bryan Cranston

Samuel L. Jackson

Dua Lipa

Critic’s did not like this movie, but audiences seem to be enjoying it. It has a 74% positive score from audiences. Here is one review I read: Movie seems a little slow and predictable in the beginning… but is the perfect setup and contrast once the train ride begins…and then the action and plots twists take off all the way to the end…and into the credits. (Make sure to keep watching into the start of the credits)

If you watched the trailer, then you’ve seen clips from only the first 28 minutes of the movie. The rest of the movie has about 12 twists and turns. This is from one review I read from the Collider website: Matthew Vaughn was smart to preserve the mystery of Argylle by convincing Universal to only share the first 28 minutes of the film in the trailers because the best twists, turns, and laughs were entirely saved for moviegoers. Argylle is very much a movie designed for those who gel with Vaughn’s unique style of storytelling. While it is—comparatively— on the lighter side of the bloody action we’ve come to expect (rest assured, no one goes into a meat grinder this time around) there is still plenty of head-stomping, knife-slinging, and fist-throwing this time around.

Rating: PG-13 (Strong Violence and Action | Some Strong Language)

Runtime: 2h 19m
