A sweet ode to rediscovering one’s inner child, IF largely works as old-fashioned family entertainment.
If (Imaginary Friends) is showing this weekend at the Falkon Theatre. Friday (May 31st) at 8:00PM and Saturday/Sunday (June 1-2) at 2:00PM.
From writer and director John Krasinski (Jim from the Office), IF is about a girl who discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends — and what she does with that superpower — as she embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten IFs with their kids.
Starring:
Ryan Reynolds, Emily Blundt & Matt Damon.
Audiences are loving IF. From the reviews I have read, it sounds like it might be a little slow for small children, but ages 8 – Adult love it. One reviewer said: “Bring the tissues! This a fantastic movie that’s great for kids and adults. Showing to never forget the joy and innocence of life even through the hardships we face daily. Truly enjoyed it”
