Are you wanting to impress someone this weekend? How about taking them out for dinner and then join us for our second annual Movie for Miracles. On Friday we are once pairing up with the Tisdale Kinettes. Start with supper at Jay’s pub with the Tisdale Kinsmen, then on to the Falkon Theatre. At the theatre we will be serving alcohol (must be 19 to attend) and there will be door and raffle prizes. Doors open at 8:00PM and the movie (The Last Showgirl starring Pamela Anderson, Dave Bautista and Jamie Lee Curtis) will start at 9:00PM (Friday only). Admission for Friday’s event is $20. ($10 for the entry to the theatre and $10 goes directly to Telemiracle)
If you want to see the Last Showgirl, but you are not 19 or don’t want to take part in the movie for miracles, we will still be showing the movie as usual on Saturday and Sunday at our normal 8:00PM showtime. (Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are the regualr $10 for anyone 16 and over and $5 if you are under 16)
The Last Showgirl, a poignant film of resilience, rhinestones and feathers, stars Pamela Anderson as Shelley, a glamorous showgirl who must plan for her future when her show abruptly closes after a 30-year run.
Did you know that: Pamela Anderson’s agent turned down the script without showing it to her. Anderson’s son Brandon Thomas Lee came across the script by chance and got it to his mother. She read the script quickly and said she wanted to do the film. Soon after, Anderson fired her agent.
One reviewer said:
“Pamela Anderson is incredible in this role, but it’s Jamie Lee Curtis who steals the show. Do not miss it, and at 90 minutes, it is perfect in every way.”
