About the Movie:
Join the Smurfs in a brand-new animated musical from director Chris Miller (Shrek the Third, Puss in Boots) and writer Pam Brady, where Papa Smurf (John Goodman) is kidnapped by wizards Razamel and Gargamel. Smurfette (Rihanna) leads a brave, heartwarming rescue mission into the real world. Along the way, the village discovers what truly makes each Smurf special—including “No Name” (James Corden), who finds his own purpose in surprising ways.

What Critics & Fans Are Saying:

“A fun, family-friendly film that blends adventure, humor, and important life lessons … a way for parents to introduce the idea of loving your eccentricities.” — Parents

Despite a low critic score, one reviewer argues the film is “a breezy, fun family movie with humor, charm, and relatable themes,” especially praising dynamic animation shifts—like claymation and 8-bit styles—and comedy from Sound Effects Smurf and Razamel’s assistant Joel.
