{"id":602,"date":"2023-12-13T09:42:08","date_gmt":"2023-12-13T15:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/falkontheatre.com\/?p=602"},"modified":"2023-12-13T09:42:08","modified_gmt":"2023-12-13T15:42:08","slug":"napoleon-facts-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/falkontheatre.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/13\/napoleon-facts-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Napoleon Facts 2"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Napoleon Facts 2<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2008, when my wife and I were in Paris we toured the H\u00f4tel de Invalides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the 17th century, Paris was full of demobilized wounded soldiers without resources, who hung around the streets and increased insecurity in the city. H\u00f4tel de Invalides was commissioned in 1670 by Louis XIV in order to provide accommodation and hospital care for wounded soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <a><\/a>1815, after Napoleon\u2019s abdication, over 5,000 survivors of the Great Army were living there.
